Immersive Installations

Environments you walk into

Rooms built to hold a mood. Light, material, and staging worked until the space itself does the talking.

Down the Rabbit Hole

Immersive installation · paper, cord, light, paint

An immersive room. Red cord runs from a hooded figure to a large paper form, hand-painted banners hang overhead, and the whole space sits somewhere between a nursery and a crime scene.

A bathroom sealed wall to wall in newsprint and lit hard red with LED candles, a lone figure standing inside it. A built environment, shot from within.

The Waiting Room

Installation

Hand-drawn figures crawl around a plain doorway while small dolls sit watching from chairs, an ordinary room turned quietly wrong.

Sculpture & Fabrication

Made by hand, and by machine

Foam, steel, resin, cast forms. The range and the shop skill under everything else on this page.

Life-size white foam figure with faces surfacing from its body

Foam Figure

CNC-milled · mixed media

A life-size figure, CNC-milled, with other faces surfacing from its body and a single 3D-printed hand breaking the white. The piece sets the "normal" outward body of a person against the mental illness seeping out through the heads emerging from the shoulder.

Five child mannequins built into different characters with light and wiring

Mannequin Puzzle

Mixed media · light, wiring

Five child mannequins, each built into a separate character out of mixed media, wiring, and light. Head, torso, and legs all interchange, so the figures recombine into new characters.

About

I make real-time media and put it into rooms. My work runs from projection mapping and TouchDesigner to welded steel, cast forms, and 3D print, and most of it lives somewhere between a screen and a physical object you can walk around.

I trained in new media at the School of Visual Arts and have shown work in gallery and installation settings since. I care most about the moment where light, motion, and material stop reading as separate things.
